~ As preparations for the memorial service of Sergeant Ken Salas continue, the Spokane Police Department has announced additional temporary road closures and revisions for tomorrow, August 20th. Officer Daniel Strassenberg, the department's Public Information Officer, has advised community members to plan ahead and give themselves extra time if they are planning to travel near these areas.
The traffic revisions will begin at 9 a.m. and are expected to last for several hours. Southbound traffic on Division at Sharp will be closed and diverted west to Monroe or east towards Hamilton. Additionally, southbound Washington from Boone to Spokane Falls Boulevard will also be closed with traffic being diverted west towards Monroe.

Washington and North River Drive will be closed for several hours, while Washington and Spokane Falls Boulevard will be closed to northbound traffic until approximately 3 p.m. Division and Riverside will also be closed to northbound traffic until around 12:30 p.m. Furthermore, Assembly between Wellesley and Francis will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Spokane Police Department urges community members to plan their routes accordingly in order to avoid any delays or disruptions caused by these temporary road closures and revisions. The department also extends their condolences to the family of Sergeant Ken Salas during this difficult time.
