~ Spokane Police have successfully located 79-year-old John Wing, who was reported missing earlier today. The elderly man, who suffers from Alzheimer's and relies on medication, was found safe thanks to the help of the public.
According to Sgt. Teresa Fuller, PIO for the Spokane Police Department, Wing's family had reported him missing from the 1100 block of N. Superior at around 2:00pm on July 7, 2024. He had left on foot and there were concerns that he may have been trying to get a ride to the Deer Park area.

Described as a white male standing at 5'11" and weighing 160lbs, Wing was last seen wearing a dark flannel shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, and a belt with a "J" buckle. The police had urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
Fortunately, Wing has now been found safe and reunited with his family. The Spokane Police Department would like to thank everyone who assisted in locating him.
