~ Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown has declared that all flags at City facilities will be lowered to half-staff on Thursday, Sept. 11, in honor of Patriot Day. This annual memorial commemorates the victims of the tragic September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
According to Erin Hut, Communications Director for Spokane City, the day serves as a reminder to honor the lives lost, recognize the bravery of first responders, and acknowledge the resilience of a nation forever changed by the events of 9/11.
