~ On August 3rd, 2025, the Spokane Fire Department (SFD) received a call about a fire in the 1600 block of East Mission Ave. Upon arrival, they discovered that several apple trees, a cherry tree, and numerous lavender plants had been damaged by the fire. The incident was reported to the Spokane Police Department (SPD) the following day.
According to Sgt. Teresa Fuller of the SPD Traffic Unit, there is video evidence of three individuals involved in setting the fire. The video footage, which has been attached at the bottom of this press release, shows three possibly juvenile males.
The first suspect is described as wearing gray shorts and a dark t-shirt with yellow writing that reads "Shot call-er M." The second suspect was seen wearing Adidas-style pants with three white stripes down the leg and a yellow t-shirt with gray sleeves. The third suspect was wearing white plaid shorts and a black top with red accents and writing on the front. All three suspects have short haircuts and appear to be young teenagers.

The SPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying these individuals to further their investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Check at 509.456.2233 and reference case number 2025-20157743.
In addition to this information, a photo of the arson suspects has also been released by authorities in hopes of generating leads in the case.
The SPD is urging anyone who may have witnessed or have any information about this incident to come forward and help bring those responsible to justice.
