XI'AN, China - Washingtoner -- With over 16 years of expertise in customized environmental test chambers, LIB has become a trusted name in designing and engineering tailored test chambers. This article highlights LIB's latest innovations in IP rain test chambers customization and IP lab design. LIB's commitment to technical advancement and customer-focused engineering is reflected in its recent projects, to meet the evolving needs of industries such as automotive, electronics, and aerospace.
Case 1: Multi-Grade Waterproofing – IPX1-IPX6 + IPX9K
This case involves the seamless integration of IPX1 to IPX6 waterproofing grades with the IPX9K (high-temperature, high-pressure spray) test into a single waterproof rain test chamber. This innovative design addresses the challenge of multi-level testing for products exposed to diverse weather conditions, such as smartphones, automotive electronics, and outdoor appliances.

By consolidating these standards into one unit, LIB eliminates the need for multiple machines, reducing laboratory footprint while maintaining zero cross between test modes. The modular components and independent water circulation system ensure that the failure rate is ≤1% in multiple test cycles.
Case 2: Thermal-Shock Rain Testing in Temperature Test Chamber
Different from traditional IP chambers, LIB engineered a temperature test chamber with mounted spray nozzles (angled at 45° from the ceiling and side walls).
This design allows for combined thermal(rapid temperature transition rates) and moisture stress testing, mimicking scenarios like aircraft components enduring sudden temperature drops (-40°C to 150°C) while exposed to rain or snow.
Case 3: Turnkey IP Laboratory Solutions – Customize Your Unique Lab
LIB not only creates individual customized IP rain test chambers, but also builds a large number of comprehensive IP testing laboratories (based on the layout of the test site, testing requirements, etc.).

As shown in the figure, it contains four integrated systems: the dust test chamber and the rain test chamber (with or without a shell), complying with the ISO 26262/IEC 60529.
This project includes end-to-end services: laboratory layout optimization, electrical/waterproof wiring, and on-site commissioning.
Why LIB Leads In The Field Of Custom Environmental Chambers
The success of LIB stems from its customer collaborative design process, where engineers work directly with customers to transform unique requirements into powerful solutions. With a global network of 5 service centers, a 3-year warranty, and lifetime technical support, LIB ensures the reliability of every link from the design plan to production.
Have unique requirements for dust or rain test chambers? LIB is ready to help.
