City of Tacoma to Begin 2025 Striping Maintenance Project on July 28

~ Tacoma's Public Works Department's Engineering Division has announced the start of their 2025 Striping Maintenance Project on July 28. The project aims to refresh pavement markings at key intersections and streets throughout the city. To minimize disruptions to traffic, crews will primarily work during nighttime hours. The project is expected to continue through September 2025.

While there are no planned road closures or detours, community members should be aware of temporary no-parking signs that will be posted in advance along scheduled routes. Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling through work zones, which will be clearly marked, and to be mindful of wet paint.
