Christy Sports Makes Snowsports More Accessible Christy Sports
With complimentary tuning, gear exchanges, and expert fitting, Christy Sports helps more skiers and riders enjoy the mountains without breaking the bank.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Washingtoner -- For families across the Rockies, the cost of skiing can add up quickly — lift tickets often run $100 to $300 a day, and kids can outgrow boots before midseason. That's why many guests turn to Christy Sports' season-rental program — a simple, budget-friendly way to make more days on the mountain possible.

As one guest, Jeff S. from Boulder, shared:

"Elizabeth helped me and my son get a great pair of season rentals. Pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and fast — awesome job!"

Stories like Jeff's reflect what keeps guests coming back year after year. With one pickup, free boot swaps, and full-season service included, Christy Sports takes the stress out of gearing up so families can focus on time outside together.

Expanding Access to the Slopes

A fixture in mountain communities since 1958, Christy Sports now offers season rentals at 19 stores across Colorado, Utah and Washington. Packages are built to make skiing and riding attainable for every budget and ability level:
  • Adult packages start at $239 ($329 in Washington)

  • Kids' packages start at $99 for ages 6 and under

  • College and trade-school renters save 20% with code COLLEGE20 (reserve by Nov. 23 with valid student ID)

  • Every rental includes free tuning, size swaps and in-store support at any Christy Sports or Sturtevant's location
With one easy pickup and gear that's yours all season, guests can skip weekend lines and enjoy consistent comfort and performance all winter long.

Community Partnerships That Extend Access

As the presenting sponsor of the Colorado Ski Country USA Ski Passport Program, Christy Sports helps families and students experience skiing more affordably and confidently. Each passport includes two free junior daily rentals and a Christy Sports retail discount, making it easier to get fitted and ready for the slopes.

The program now includes grades K–2, giving students in grades K–6 four days of skiing or riding at each of 19 Colorado resorts — 76 days total — for just $67 (grades K–2) or $72 (grades 3–6).

"The Colorado Ski Country USA Kids Ski Passport provides an accessible entry point to skiing and snowboarding for young families. With Christy Sports' partnership, we're growing the future of the sport in Colorado by getting kids and families from all backgrounds out on the snow," said Melanie Mills, president and CEO of Colorado Ski Country USA.

Christy Sports also partners with:
  • SheJumps — offering free season rentals to select participants through the Ikon Pass Mountain Access Program.

  • SOS Outreach — providing underserved youth in mountain towns with access to gear and mentorship.
"The SheJumps x Ikon Pass Mountain Access Program lowers the barriers to skiing and snowboarding by providing Ikon Passes, lessons and gear to women who have experienced barriers accessing snowsports," said Robyn Gelfand, program director at SheJumps. "Through a partnership with Christy Sports, we were able to provide our program participants with season rentals. This has been a game changer, removing a significant barrier to participating in snowsports and helping our participants get more days on the slopes."

What Guests Are Saying

Guests consistently describe Christy Sports as friendly, knowledgeable and focused on the fit.

"The staff was incredibly patient as I tried on multiple pairs of boots to make sure I had the right setup for the season," wrote Jordyn W. from Lakewood. "I'm super happy with the gear I ended up with and will definitely be back next season."

According to Randy England, director of program management and marketing operations at Christy Sports:

"We hear it every day — how our team makes sure boots fit right, skis glide smoothly and the whole process is easy. Since 1958, that's been our focus: helping people feel confident, cared for and excited to be on the mountain."

A Season to Remember

Through its 2025–26 season-rental program and partnerships with Colorado Ski Country USA, SheJumps and SOS Outreach, Christy Sports is helping families, students and first-timers spend more time outside — focusing on turns and mountain memories instead of cost and complexity. Because in the end, Outside is Better.
