SAN DIEGO & AACHEN, Germany - Washingtoner -- MainConcept, a global leader in video and audio codec solutions, today announced the completion of a management buyout, returning the company to independent ownership.

The transition marks an important milestone for MainConcept, which had been part of Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc. since 2018. Under its new structure, MainConcept will operate as a fully independent company, giving the team greater flexibility to advance its technology and deepen its focus on customers across broadcast, streaming, professional video and other markets.

Deacon Johnson, President & CEO of MainConcept, said: "Becoming independent allows us to sharpen our focus on innovation and invest even more deeply in meeting the needs of a rapidly changing industry. The pace of technology is only accelerating, and we are excited to have the freedom and agility to lead our customers into the future."
