"If you are in banking and lending, surprise outcomes are likely to be negative for you." - Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Financial analyst, Investor, Author

PHOENIX - Washingtoner -- Trajan Wealth has released their August Financial Market Review to help you keep track of your investments and help you plan for your future. Trajan Wealth's CIO Udayan Mitra, CFA has taken a look at the financial markets over the last month and gives a breakdown of the insights that affect you and your portfolio.

Key points of the review are:
  • Stocks and bonds posting negative returns for August
  • Year to date returns across major equity indexes are performing from 9.2% to 34.9%, outperforming historical annual averages
  • It has become clear that the Chinese economy is in the front end of a serious real estate crisis
  • Turmoil in China has led the International Monetary fund ("IMF") to paint a tepid forecast for global GDP growth for the next five years
  • The IMF also projects global inflation stabilizing over the next five years to levels in line with the world's long-term average of about 3.5%

Read the entire August 2023 Financial Market Review to get a more in-depth look at what you can do to stay ahead of the market with your own investments. You can also read about more topics at the Trajan Wealth blog and stay on top of your financial future.
