Innovative closed D-shaped design combines a stepping surface, integrated handhold and versatile utility applications.
Washingtoner -- Axis International Marketing is introducing Tree Step, a patented climbing and utility concept designed to provide improved grip, stability and versatility for outdoor enthusiasts, hunters and other users.
The invention originated from a practical challenge: climbing a tree without having a dependable place to grasp. That experience inspired a distinctive design combining a knurled foothold with a closed D-shaped opening that can serve as a handhold while climbing.
Unlike a conventional stepping surface, Tree Step is designed to offer multiple functions within a single device. Its threaded mounting configuration allows it to be installed into a tree, while its integrated handhold offers an additional point of contact during climbing.

The invention also incorporates concepts for a specialized installation tool and a carrying accessory designed to accommodate multiple Tree Steps.
Beyond traditional tree climbing and tree stand access, the inventor has identified additional potential applications, including ladder configurations using 2×4 lumber between trees, reaching elevated branches and garage storage solutions.
Tree Step is protected by U.S. Patent No. 8,863,900 B1 and is being presented to prospective licensing partners and manufacturers interested in innovative outdoor recreation and specialty hardware products.
