F.I.L. – Fridge in Limbo combines refrigerated storage, motorized mobility, electronic communication and docking technology in an innovative appliance concept.
CHICAGO - Washingtoner -- F.I.L. – Fridge in Limbo introduces a new approach to household refrigeration: instead of requiring the user to go to the refrigerator, the motorized refrigeration device is designed to travel to the user.
The patent-pending concept combines a refrigerator housing with motorized mobility features, including powered wheels and a rotating base. A connected electronic device can communicate with the refrigerator and request that the unit travel to the user's location.
The concept further incorporates sensors to assist with navigation and obstacle detection as the refrigerator moves through its environment.
F.I.L. isn't simply about moving cold beverages from one place to another. The refrigeration system travels with the unit, providing users with direct access to refrigerated storage when the device reaches them.

Additional functionality includes an LED display capable of presenting personalized messages communicated from a connected electronic device.
A docking system provides another important element of the concept. F.I.L. is designed to interface with a docking station for power, allowing the system to support charging and refrigerated operation while docked.
Together, these features create a unique vision for the future of household convenience—one in which a familiar appliance becomes mobile, connected and responsive to its user.
F.I.L. – Refrigeration That Comes to You.
F.I.L. is currently available for licensing and manufacturing opportunities.
