~ The City of Tacoma is taking steps to address disparities faced by historically underutilized businesses. On July 31, 2025, the city's Equity in Contracting team will be hosting a Small Business Technical Assistance Workshop at the Tacoma Municipal Building. The workshop will run from 3-4:30 p.m. and will feature presentations and Q&A opportunities with subject matter experts.
The workshop aims to provide support and resources for small businesses owned by minorities, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Attendees can expect to learn about the City of Tacoma's Equity in Contracting Program, small business financing opportunities through the city, resources from the Washington Small Business Development Center, and technical assistance from Business Impact Northwest.
