~ Tacoma City Council Adopts Resolutions for Charter Review Process
On July 30, 2024, the Tacoma City Council made significant progress in the ongoing Charter Review process. During their meeting, the council adopted Substitute Resolution No. 41496, which appointed individuals to committees responsible for writing statements in favor and against proposed City Charter amendments.
In addition, Resolution No. 41497 was also adopted by the council. This resolution consolidated and clarified recommendations for certain proposed City Charter and Tacoma Municipal Code amendments that were not referred for placement on the ballot.

Community members can now access the latest updates on the Charter Review process through the city's website at cityoftacoma.org/charterreview. For any questions or concerns about the process, individuals can contact the City Clerk's Office at cityclerk@cityoftacoma.org or (253) 591-5505.
