Mayor Brown stated that while there is a real budget deficit in Spokane, she believes it is responsible to take more time for analysis before making significant investments in community safety. She also emphasized the importance of expanding input from the public to ensure a comprehensive plan for the future.
The administration will continue down this path while also identifying ways for the city to tighten its own belt and promote fiscal responsibility. This decision reflects their commitment to making informed and responsible choices for the benefit of Spokane's community safety.
