MSBG Corporation Acquires GridWatch US Telemetry Automation System

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Washingtoner -- MSBG Corporation announced today the signing of a purchase agreement to acquire the GridWatch US Telemetry Automation System to operate under its MeterNet flagship brand. The transaction is scheduled to close by May 22, 2026 and terms were not released.

GridWatch aggregates real-time wholesale energy prices (LMP) and grid stability metrics from across the United States, normalizing them into a single, millisecond-latency API. Tier One grid data coverage includes ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, NYISO, CAISO & ISONE. The automated power grid API for AI and Blockchain infrastructure prevents financial losses by shutting down hardware during electricity price spikes, and maximizes profit by automatically dispatching/overclocking during negative pricing.

The North America legacy grid is decentralizing; Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), commercial EV fleet charging and higher-density data centers all need programmatic demand-response automation, and GridWatch sits at that intersection.

The US power grid doesn't expose a unified data stream and instead presents a mess of ISOs publishing telemetry at varying intervals in completely conflicting formats. GridWatch is the 2026 solution to normalize this chaos. The data GridWatch ingests is publicly mandated operational telemetry. GridWatch is a serverless ingestion pipeline that harmonizes operational LMP pricing for major ISOs and macro-load telemetry across 22 US grid regions into a single API. It bypasses settled data latency to catch negative pricing windows or curtailment thresholds, triggering automated demand-response for high-load infrastructure.

Originally developed by South Carolina-based Norris Architectures, Meternet GridWatch is a serverless Azure data pipeline and REST API built with Python and Terraform that aggregates real-time US power grid telemetry into a data lake to power automated infrastructure curtailment and economic dispatch.
