~ Seattle-based coffee company, Mercurys Coffee Co., has made a groundbreaking move by becoming the first ever title sponsor and power source for the U-11 Unlimited Racing Group Hydroplane Team. This partnership marks a new era of excitement and engagement for the beloved Seattle brand.

Founder of Mercurys Coffee Co., Morgan Harris, expressed his enthusiasm for this new venture, stating that the company's rich history and passionate following in the Pacific Northwest makes it a perfect fit for hydroplane racing. "We are excited to be part of the action and bring this sport to the forefront for new generations, not only here in Washington State, but nationally as well," said Harris.

Since its establishment in 1998, Mercurys Coffee Co. has grown from a single drive-thru stand in Woodinville to 12 vibrant locations on Seattle's eastside, with four more on the horizon. With over 225 dedicated team members, the company prides itself on exceptional products, sourcing top-quality specialty coffee from around the world, creating memorable experiences, and supporting local communities. This new partnership aligns perfectly with Mercurys Coffee's mission of creating amazing moments and unforgettable connections.

Now, Mercurys Coffee is taking their community commitment to new heights – over 200 mph to be exact – as they become the title sponsor of U-11 Unlimited Racing Group and their explosive Miss Mercurys Coffee Racing U-11 Hydro. The name pays tribute to the traditional use of "Miss" in hydroplane names and holds personal significance for Harris who grew up watching hydroplane races with his father.

"Our goal is to align with Mercurys Coffee's mission of embracing people, fostering relationships, and spreading love – one greeting, one connection, one relationship at a time," said Harris. "We want to energize the community and bring back excitement to this historic sport in a way that people can connect with it again."

The sponsorship will cover the entire 2024 H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing Season, including test runs and races across the country. The season, sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association (APBA), features some of the fastest and most spectacular racing boats in the world. Key stops include Guntersville Lake Hydrofest in Alabama, Madison Regatta in Indiana, Apollo Columbia Cup in Washington, Apollo Mechanical Cup on Lake Washington for Seafair Weekend in Seattle, and Bayfair in San Diego. Throughout the season, fans can expect to see a bold custom design on the team's Miss Mercurys Coffee Racing U-11 hydro and hauler, as well as exclusive hydroplane racing-inspired coffee blends and Mercurys Coffee Racing merchandise.
