MBK Promotes Diana Engle and Courtney Hill
Company Experiences Record High Move-ins For Second Consecutive Month

IRVINE, Calif. - Washingtoner -- MBK Senior Living, one of Fortune magazine's Top 10 "Best Workplaces in Aging Services," announced the promotion of Diana Engle to National Director of Resident Enrichment and Courtney Hill to Regional Director of Operations. The announcement comes as the company experiences its second consecutive month of record move-ins.

"Diana and Courtney have consistently demonstrated a solid work ethic, leadership and actively contribute to MBK's pursuit, purpose, and principles," said Michael Bardelmeier, Senior Vice President of Operations for MBK Senior Living. "We are confident that they will continue to exhibit these exceptional traits as they take on these new roles."

Engle joined MBK Senior Living in September 2019 as the Regional Director of Resident Enrichment. She has been instrumental in developing enrichment programming, providing dementia care training and policy development, and supporting community teams in Colorado, Arizona, Washington, and Utah. Engle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sonoma State University and a Master of Science, Family and Human Development from Arizona State University.

"I'm excited to develop innovative programming to inspire and invigorate residents," said Engle. "The paradigm of senior living is shifting to include more technology that fully engages seniors mind, body, and spirit, and keep them actively connected to loved ones."

Hill joined the MBK Senior Living team when the company acquired its Almond Heights community in 2019. She started her career in senior living as a dining room server before becoming the Business Office Manager, Associate Executive Director, and later, Executive Director. She also served as Executive Director at two other MBK communities, The Commons at Union Ranch and The Commons at Elk Grove. Hill is the recipient of MBK's annual Executive Director of the Year and President's Award. In addition, she has held the company's highest NOI variance to budget and highest year-over-year occupancy growth records in 2020. She is a graduate of Sacramento State University with a degree in Health Care Administration.

"I'm looking forward to taking what I've learned in my role as executive director, applying those strategies to multiple communities, and making an impact on a larger scale," said Hill.

According to Bardelmeier, consumer confidence is on the rise. Seniors that were previously isolated in their homes see the value, convenience, and safety senior living environments provide. The company has experienced record high move-ins over the last two months and has been applauded for handling the operations during the pandemic.

"We continue to receive accolades from residents, families, and health agency partners for how we adapted heightened protocols, kept residents active and connected, and for our transparency in ongoing communications with residents, families, and team members," said Bardelmeier
