WASHINGTON - Washingtoner -- The American Conference Institute (ACI) will host the National Congress on Next Generation Military and Veterans Healthcare Systems this March 14-16, 2023, in Washington, DC.

Co-chaired by the honorable Dr. David Shulkin, Ninth Secretary, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and COL (USA-Ret) Ron Poropatich, MD, University of Pittsburgh-- the conference will bring together Military, Government, health care providers, academia, and consultants to explore opportunities to improve healthcare access and delivery to our nation's veterans.

Presenters include Dr. Brian C. Lein, Assistant Director, Healthcare Administration, Defense Health Agency, Matthew Quinn, Science Director, Army Telehealth & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), Daniel Abrahamson, MoPOC, National Program Manage , Department of Veterans Affairs among others that will also present at this critical and timely event.

Topics to be discussed include:
  • Advancements in VA Prosthetics Technology and Treatments
  • Leveraging Mixed Reality Technology to Enhance VA Surgical Care
  • Forecasting the Future of AI in Healthcare: Key Considerations for use in Oncology and Mental Health
  • Mobile and Telehealth: What's next in monitoring, and information sharing for combat casualty care and VA patient populations

In addition to the congress, ACI will host a special Think Tank on VA Women's Health System Modernization on March 16. This one-day leadership summit is a series of curated discussions aimed at identifying and addressing current and future care needs of women service members.
