CHARLESTON, S.C., July 10, 2024 ~ Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), the leading provider of software for powering social impact, has announced that Sheryl Lee Ralph will be joining the mainstage as a keynote speaker at bbcon 2024, Blackbaud's annual tech conference. The event will take place from September 24-26 in Seattle, Washington.

Catherine LaCour, chief marketing officer at Blackbaud, expressed her excitement about Ralph's participation in the conference. She stated, "We are honored to have Sheryl Lee Ralph join us at bbcon this year to share her wisdom and inspiration with our community of global changemakers." LaCour also highlighted Ralph's accomplishments as a trailblazer in entertainment and a dedicated nonprofit leader.

Ralph is currently starring on ABC's hit comedy series "Abbott Elementary" and will also be seen in the upcoming film "The Fabulous Four" alongside Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, and Megan Mullally. With a career spanning nearly four decades, she has made a name for herself in Hollywood and Broadway. Her impressive list of credits includes the multi-Tony Award-winning Broadway play "Dreamgirls," as well as popular films like "Sister Act 2" and "The Distinguished Gentleman."

In addition to her successful career in entertainment, Ralph is also a passionate health advocate and AIDS activist. She founded the DIVA (Divinely Inspired Victoriously Anointed) Foundation 501(C)3 in memory of friends lost to HIV/AIDS. She is also known for creating the critically acclaimed event "Divas Simply Singing!" which is the longest-running musical AIDS benefit in the country. For her efforts, she was awarded the first Red Ribbon Award at the UN and was recently appointed as an AIDS Ambassador for Jamaica's Ministry of Health.

bbcon is known as the tech conference that fuels impact by bringing together Blackbaud users and those interested in learning more about using Blackbaud's software for social impact. This year's event will feature over 150 breakout sessions and preconference workshops for product training and developers of all levels. Attendees will have the opportunity to grow their skills, make connections, and hear from Blackbaud leaders about upcoming innovations.
