~ As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, the City of Tacoma has announced that its administrative offices will be closed on November 27 and 28. This closure includes the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center, located at 3510 S. Mullen St., which houses the Recycle Center and Household Hazardous Waste Facility. As a result, there will be no garbage, recycling, or yard/food waste curbside collection on November 27. Residents are advised that all curbside collection for the rest of the week will be delayed by one day, with Friday's collection taking place on Saturday instead. For specific information regarding collection schedules based on address, residents can visit the city's website. Additionally, all Tacoma Public Library facilities will also be closed on November 27. In light of the holiday, there will be no parking enforcement by City staff on both November 27 and 28.
