Churches across the country are uniting together in a movement to stand up against polarization with kindness
HERNDON, Va. - Washingtoner -- Floris United Methodist Church joins the nationwide movement taking a stand against polarization with kindness.
In these divisive times, Floris United Methodist Church is approaching the upcoming election with a "Campaign for Kindness." Our church, alongside others across the country, is spearheading an initiative that asks a simple yet powerful question: "How do you want to be treated?" This campaign, rooted in the universal Golden Rule, aims to bridge divides and foster understanding in communities nationwide.
Political polarization has taken a toll on all of our communities that we aim to heal. The "Campaign for Kindness" is an open invitation, welcoming everyone into a safe space to have a dialogue on practical ways that we can apply the Golden Rule in our daily interactions.
Floris offers a wealth of opportunities to get involved with free resources, events and services. On an individual level, our daily decisions are an easy way to share the campaign — you can do this by simply choosing kindness. Share with us why you're campaigning for kindness on social media or in person at Floris UMC.
