WOBURN, Mass. - Washingtoner -- Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc., a global leader in ink manufacturing, is thrilled to announce advancements in technology for its Natron® UVPX Series of screen printing inks. Using AI, the ink development team at Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc. enhanced the bonding capabilities of the UVPX Series across a wide range of materials.

While originally created as a UV screen printing ink for plastics and polyurethane-coated plastics, recent advancements in the selection of ink development additives and materials, aided by AI, have allowed the Natron® UVPX Series ink to bond permanently to glass and metals. This breakthrough positions UVPX as the ideal one-ink solution for a diverse array of UV/LED screen printing applications. The potential applications are limitless.

The key features of this ink series include:
  • Exceptional resistance to environmental and chemical stressors, including, alcohols, alkalis, and harsh conditions.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • Excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials.
  • Inter-coat (print) adhesion.
  • High reactivity under UV and UVLED lamps.
  • Free from heavy metals, phthalates, and N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone.

In addition to these features, this ink series is easy to print with and has very high opacity and gloss which produces vibrant prints, and durable prints.

With its expanded adhesion capabilities, Natron® UVPX is an industry-leading choice for cosmetic packaging, aerospace, UV glass printing, and other graphic screen printing applications. As an eco-friendly, VOC-free ink, it delivers outstanding performance while supporting sustainable printing practices.

For permanent adhesion on metals, pair UVPX with the M74F adhesion promoter; for glass, use the G1 primer; and for polypropylene, apply the PP primer. Notably, polyurethanes do not require a primer for strong adhesion.

"At Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc., we are committed to innovation and using the latest technologies to create products that simplify our customers' lives," says Bonaventure Mutuku, COO. "The UVPX ink series represents our dedication to this mission. With the aid of AI, we are able to develop and enhance our products more quickly than ever. We are confident that decorators, manufacturers, and contractor printers will value the improvements we have made with this UV/LED screen printing ink."
