A highly scalable TR-369/USP (User Service Platform) Controller add-on supporting millions of concurrent USP Agents

MUNICH - Washingtoner -- Axiros, a leader in TR-069/TR-369, Unified Device Management, and zero-touch customer experience solutions, announced its launch of version 2.7 of the AX USP Controller (and associated tools). This update ensures a smooth upgrade path for existing installations and reinforces Axiros commitment to innovation and security in device management solutions.
AX USP version 2.7 focuses primarily on enhancing security features, with all binaries now including compile-time version information for all utilised dependencies. This addition significantly simplifies security audits and ensures that future security advisory checks can be conducted effortlessly.

Below you can find some of the changes since the last release:
  • All binaries now contain embedded information useful for current and future security audits
  • Increase the responsiveness of the USP Controller when dealing with improperly closed and subsequent new WebSocket connections from the same USP Agent. The USP Controller is now capable of detecting these situations much faster while still avoiding false positives from (possibly) ill-intentioned actors
  • Added a counter to provide information on the amount of bytes transmitted over the MTP connection
  • Added connection rate information to the load tool
  • Dependencies upgrades and general optimizations

"This minor update brings a quite major quality of life improvement for this and all following releases: Resulting out of our improved Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) process, this allows our customers to instantly verify the currently running version of the software against (newly) discovered vulnerabilities and software advisories.", said Daniel Egger, Product Owner of AX USP and Program Stream Lead for Data modeling in the Broadband Forum.
