From Feb. 1–28, Appliance EMT will donate 10% of its call service fee from eligible appointments to support Kids Motel Ministry's outreach.

ATLANTA - Washingtoner -- Appliance EMT, a leading Atlanta-based appliance repair company, announced today a new community initiative with Kids Motel Ministry called "Repairs That Give Back."

From February 1 through February 28, 2026, Appliance EMT will donate 10% of the call service fee from every appliance repair or preventive maintenance appointment scheduled in the Metro Atlanta area to support children living in extended-stay motels with their family who are facing housing instability. Through this initiative, customers automatically contribute to the work of Kids Motel Ministry, which provides essential resources to families working toward regaining stable housing.

Funds raised during the campaign will meet the ministry's most immediate needs, including children's Bibles, an additional projector, and folding tables and chairs, as the ministry prepares to launch "Team 2" following the Easter season. Kids Motel Ministry is also currently in discussions with another corporate motel chain, which may soon become its third service location.

"Atlanta is our home, and we believe local businesses should show up for local families," said Erik Pashnyak, of Appliance EMT. "Every service call is an opportunity to do more than fix an appliance; it's a chance to help a child and support a family who needs a hand up."

Kids Motel Ministry is a cornerstone program of HireLiving Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The ministry serves those who have experienced sudden job loss, lack of affordable housing, or medical crises by offering relational support and connecting them with resources to move toward stability.

"Partnerships like this matter because they create consistent, reliable support where it's needed most," said Cindy Jones of Kids Motel Ministry. "This commitment will help us continue showing up for kids with encouragement and hope."

The donation program applies to all eligible services scheduled within Appliance EMT's Metro Atlanta service area during February 2026. Customers can schedule service online or by phone, and no additional steps are required to trigger the donation.
