Tacoma: OMWBE Certification 201 Workshop on February 12

~ The City of Tacoma's Equity in Contracting (EIC) Program is taking steps to address disparities faced by historically underutilized businesses owned by minority, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. In partnership with the Washington State Office of Minority & Women's Business Enterprises (OMWBE), the EIC Program will be hosting an OMWBE Certification 201 workshop on February 12, 2026 from 9-11 a.m.

The workshop will be conducted in a hybrid format, offering both in-person and virtual options for attendees. However, those interested are strongly encouraged to attend in person at the Tacoma Municipal Building (747 Market St., Room 243). This workshop presents an opportunity for participants to begin or complete their OMWBE application and become a certified business. Attendees are advised to bring their laptops or electronic devices, as well as any necessary financial statements and paperwork for the certification process.
