SPD responds to fatal shooting near Inland Empire Way

On 12-1-22, around 2:30PM, SPD officers responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of W 16^th Ave.  Patrol officers located a deceased person inside a residence.

Information was quickly obtained that the suspect had fled. Numerous resources were summoned to the area, including patrol officers, investigative teams and specialty units.  At the writing of this release, the suspect has not been located.

An active search for the suspect is underway, currently in the Peaceful Valley area. The suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous. SPD is releasing this picture of the suspect, it is approximately 3 years old. If you see or come in contact with this individual call 911 immediately.
