Spokane Police Department Seeking Assistance in Locating Missing Endangered Male

~ The Spokane Police Department (SPD) is reaching out to the community for assistance in locating a missing and endangered adult male. According to Officer Daniel Strassenberg, Public Information Officer for SPD, 33-year-old Paxson Matthews was last seen in the area of 700 North Division on or around September 12th.

Matthews, who is legally blind and deaf, has difficulty speaking and significant mobility issues. He also has multiple disabilities that require medical attention. He is described as being 5'10" tall and weighing approximately 125 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a distinctive zig-zag shaped scar from ear to ear and currently sports a full beard. Matthews is known to wear ball or stocking caps and carries a brown fanny pack with him. He may also be wearing black dress shoes.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on Matthews' whereabouts to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233. The reference number for this case is 2025-20190034. Two photos of Matthews have been released by SPD in hopes of aiding in the search efforts.

The missing man is known to frequent the South Hill and Gonzaga areas, making it possible that he may still be in those locations. The SPD is asking for the public's help in bringing Matthews home safely.
