Spokane: One vehicle accident results in fatality

~ At approximately 2:45 pm on 9/22/23, a woman was tragically killed in a car accident in the 900 block of E. Overbluff Rd. on the South Hill. According to Julie Humphreys, Communication Manager for the Spokane Police Department (SPD), early indications suggest that the driver had been attempting to reenter the vehicle when it rolled downhill and hit a tree, causing it to roll over and land on top of her. The SPD's Major Crimes Collision Team is currently investigating the scene and roads near the area have been closed down as a result. The identity of the victim will be released at a later time by the Medical Examiner's Office.
