~ Spokane, WA - A male suspect has been arrested for four counts of assault in the first degree and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm following a shooting incident on Saturday morning.

According to Officer Xenon Berkeley, Public Information Officer for the Spokane Police Department, officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of E Indiana Ave shortly before 6am on March 23, 2024. Preliminary information revealed that two citizens had located a vehicle they believed was stolen from a friend. However, upon further investigation, it was found that the vehicle had not been reported stolen.

The friend and another person arrived at the scene and confirmed that it was their vehicle. The group was standing near the vehicle, trying to figure out how to remove it from the location when 33-year-old Levi Corker emerged from an apartment and confronted them. After a brief verbal altercation, Corker went back into his apartment and returned with a firearm.
