SEATTLE, Sept. 3, 2024 ~ Seattle's Pacific Science Center (PacSci) and local radio station KEXP have announced the renewal of their partnership for a second year. The collaboration, titled Live at the Laser Dome: KEXP DJ in Residence, will continue to bring unique musical experiences to PacSci's Laser Dome through a DJ residency program.
Starting on Tuesday, September 4, this year's program will kick off with DJ Lace Cadence from KEXP's show The Continent. Raised in Seattle's Central District, Lace Cadence has been immersed in the local music scene since the grunge era. He is known for introducing AfroBeats to the city's club scene and airwaves and takes pride in representing his Senegalese heritage throughout Seattle.

The Continent focuses on showcasing the diverse musical genres found across the African continent, including AfroBeats, Amapiano, Soukous, and Mbalax. Along with Lace Cadence, other KEXP DJs such as Kennady Quille from Audioasis and Jewel of Astral Plane will also perform at PacSci's Laser Dome throughout the year.
