Legendary Two Time Academy Award Nominee Carol Connors Joins the List of Artists at International Women's Day Gala as one of the Headliners at the Prestigious Taglyan Complex in Hollywood, CA on Saturday, March 8th, 2025. Ms. Connors has been Nominated for 10 Major Music Awards, Emmys, Grammys, and Golden Globes, along with Two Academy Awards.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Washingtoner -- Legendary Carol Connors' diversity of talent is personified as a successful Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller, Charity Organizer and Cat Lover. She has been nominated for 10 major music awards: Emmy's, Grammy's, Golden Globes and two Oscars. Co-writing the theme from ROCKY, "GONNA FLY NOW" that became a box office giant and plunged Carol into filmdom. This song was incorporated into the music for the subsequent Rocky's (Gold and Platinum Albums) and is heard on all of the related soundtrack albums.

When Elvis Presley heard Carol sing her first song "To Know Him Is To Love Him" as the lead singer of the Teddy Bears he fell in love with her voice and fell in love with her and they fell in love with each other and Elvis Presley became Carol Connors first love.

Since then, Carol's film and TV work has been legendary and includes music and lyrics of such varied films as: THE EARTHLING, LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR, DRESSED TO KILL, THE ONION FIELD, BUTTERFLY, ORCA and Walt Disney's THE RESCUERS, to name a few.

The event will feature tributes by entertainers, including accomplished recording musician Michael Raye, mezzo-soprano Hiroko Yoshinaga, singer Jamie Bacani Darwin, Grammy Award winning singer and musician David Longoria, and other emerging artists. The celebration begins with a red carpet reception, hors d'oeuvres, and a happy hour from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The event includes a five-course dinner with a specially prepared menu, live music, and a themed fashion show titled "The Golden Era of Beauty." This show will highlight the designs of renowned creators such as Ken Barlis, a Project Runway winner, Will Franco, and fashion designer and creative director Tommy Le.

Additionally, the evening will feature the presentation of the Women's Inspiration Awards from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., honoring women such as Congresswoman Diane Watson, pageant producer Virgelia Villegas, American martial artist and actress Cynthia Rothrock, Fashion Icon Sue Wong and designer Rohini Bedi and global influencer Natasha Graziano who have made significant contributions to their communities and the world at large. This year's event will also benefit various charities dedicated to helping survivors and victims of the many fires in the Los Angeles area, ensuring that the celebration of women's accomplishments extends into meaningful community support.
