The TCRA meetings take place twice a month from January to October at 7:30 AM. In November and December, meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month. Currently, meetings are being held in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual options available.
In an effort to promote diversity and inclusivity within its committees, boards, and commissions, the City of Tacoma is encouraging individuals from BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, individuals with disabilities, seniors, immigrants, and refugees to apply for these volunteer positions.
Appointed applicants will be required to complete trainings on Open Public Meetings Act and Public Records Act provided by the Washington State Office of the Attorney General within 90 days of their appointment.
More information about the TCRA Board can be found on their website. Interested applicants are also invited to observe a meeting during the application period. Upcoming meeting dates and agendas can be found on their website as well.
The City of Tacoma is committed to creating an equitable and anti-racist organization and hopes that its committees, boards, and commissions will reflect the diversity of the Tacoma community. The TCRA Board plays a crucial role in supporting low-income households and families, as well as promoting economic development in the city.
