Mexico's Evolving AML/CFT Environment K2 Integrity
NEW YORK - Washingtoner -- K2 Integrity, the leading global risk and financial crimes advisory firm, is pleased to announce its upcoming webinar, "Mexico's Evolving AML/CFT Environment: FATF Review and FTO Designations." This one-hour virtual session, taking place on 14 May 2025 at 12:30 pm ET, will explore the rapidly shifting regulatory, enforcement, and geopolitical landscape surrounding anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) efforts in Mexico and the United States.

With the U.S. and Mexican governments ramping up trade and tariff policy changes, increasing efforts to disrupt fentanyl trafficking and cartel activity, and preparing for forthcoming FATF mutual evaluations, cross-border financial institutions and companies are navigating an increasingly complex compliance environment. This timely discussion will provide key insights into managing evolving risks tied to U.S. Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) designations, as well as cross-border AML/CFT compliance obligations.

"Given the accelerating pace of regulatory developments and growing geopolitical risk in the U.S.-Mexico corridor, organizations need clear guidance on how to assess and mitigate compliance risks," said Himamauli Das, senior managing director and counsel at K2 Integrity and moderator of the session. "Our panel will provide a strategic overview along with actionable guidance for businesses operating across this vital region."
