GAITHERSBURG, MD: Tone Commander—a subsidiary of Patton and US manufacturer of DOD-certified secure end instruments—is pleased to announce the Tone Commander TC7910 SIP Phone is now available for pre-order.
The new Tone Commander highly-secure session initiation protocl (SIP) phone is designed for government, military, and intelligence community users.
"Our new secure SIP Phone checks all the boxes," said Don Turner, Federal Sales Director and Head of Government Solutions Group at Patton.
Combining multilevel precedence and preemption (MLPP) with IETF RFC 3261-compliant SIP and certified Assured Services SIP (AS-SIP), the new TC7910 offers a high-quality, US-manufactured assured-services end instrument (AEI).

Interfaces. The new SIP Phone is equipped with gigabit Ethernet and fiber small form-factor pluggable (SFP) interfaces, ensuring high-speed transmission and flexible network integration.
"By combining advanced networking capabilities with DoD compliant NG-911, AS-SIP and pending TSG certification, we offer our customers a robust IP-telephony endpoint that meets the highest standards of performance and reliability," Turner said.
Secure. The Phone supports secure real-time transport protocol (SRTP), transport layer security (TLS), hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS) and digitally-signed tamper-proof firmware.
Protocols. Supporting IPv4 and IPv6 transport, push-to-talk (PTT) handsets, and HTTP-Enabled Location Delivery (HELD) protocol, the TC7910 enables granular location information retrieval for 911 emergency services.
