~ On the evening of December 9th, 2025, a police officer from the Downtown District witnessed a person riding a BMX style bicycle on the sidewalk near Sprague and Stevens. The officer, who has been identified as Officer Daniel Strassenberg, also noticed that the bike did not have any visual lights. With additional officers responding to the scene, the suspect was eventually detained a short distance away. During this time, one of the assisting officers observed the suspect throwing a small black bag before being apprehended.
The suspect was later identified as 47-year-old Gena R. Belger and was placed under arrest for Obstructing and Resisting Arrest.
