Update: Donna has been located and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Spokane Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating an elderly female in the Hillyard area.


Officers are in the area of the Hillyard Safeway looking for 86 year old Donna Horwath. She is believed to be on foot in the area. She is 5'10, 110 lbs and last seen wearing a long fur coat, blue jeans and possibly black boots. She is not dress for the frigid temperatures and this is a life threatening situation if she is not located. Please keep your eye out for anybody matching this description and call 911. There are a couple larger apartment complexes in the area. If you live in one of these, please check around your buildings, behind dumpsters and in the bushes. It is also very helpful to either contact the person and keep them warm or keep an eye on them until Officers are able to respond.
