~ Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown has issued a statement regarding the ongoing situation outside the Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement office. In her statement released on Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Brown expressed her awareness of the events and emphasized the city's commitment to upholding First Amendment rights and allowing individuals to peacefully assemble on public property.

Furthermore, Mayor Brown reaffirmed the city's support for the Keep Washington Working Act and stated that any violations of Spokane Municipal Code will be addressed by the Spokane Police Department. She also urged all involved to remain peaceful and safe, while expressing sympathy for families who have been separated.

The mayor concluded her statement by emphasizing the strength of unity in the face of attempts to divide. The City of Spokane remains dedicated to protecting the rights and safety of all its residents.
