This new Aviation Book TOPGUN: The Legacy: The Complete History of TOPGUN and Its Impact on Tactical Aviation By Brad Elward is now available to order.

PUYALLUP, Wash. - Washingtoner -- TOPGUN: The Legacy covers the early history of air combat tactical development, based on over 450 interviews with graduates, instructors, and commanding officers, and thousands of pages of archival documents. This book provides a distinctive, thorough, and never-before-told history of the Navy Fighter Weapons School that was established in 1968 to teach Navy aircrews the core air combat tactics, to train others in those tactics, and to ensure that naval aviation "never again" forgot its lessons learned.

Brad Elward has been a military aviation writer since 1997, authoring 14 books and many of articles for notable publications around the world. He has written extensively about the Navy Fighter Weapons School and was granted unprecedented access to the school and its graduates for this book, allowing him to interview over 450 alumni and former instructors, as well as visit the school on many occasions.
