SEATTLE, Nov. 19, 2024 ~ Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) has announced its plans to expand its presence in Florida with the opening of a new Nordstrom Rack store in Lakeland in fall 2025. The 30,000-square-foot store will be located in Lakeside Village, a popular shopping center that is home to prominent retailers such as Kohl's, Books-A-Million, and Belk.

Gemma Lionello, President of Nordstrom Rack, expressed excitement about the company's growth in the Tampa market and its introduction to new customers. "We look forward to being a part of the Lakeland community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices," she said. The new location will offer convenient services such as online order pick up from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, as well as easy returns.

Kristina K. O'Keefe, Vice President of the Commercial Division for Continental Realty Corporation, which owns and manages Lakeside Village, shared her enthusiasm for Nordstrom Rack joining the shopping center. "As a premier open-air lifestyle center in Lakeland, Florida, Lakeside Village is dedicated to offering quality experiences," she said. "The addition of Nordstrom Rack will provide our community with even more exceptional shopping options."

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., and plays a critical role in the company's Closer to You strategy. This strategy focuses on delivering customers a more convenient and interconnected experience across its stores and digital platforms. With up to 70 percent off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes from top brands sold at Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom Rack is a popular destination for shoppers looking for high-quality products at discounted prices.

The new store in Lakeland will not only expand Nordstrom's physical footprint but also have a positive economic impact on Florida. The company currently operates six Nordstrom stores and 19 Nordstrom Rack stores in the state, providing over 2,800 jobs.

Nordstrom is committed to investing in the communities where it operates. Over the past four years, the company has donated more than $2 million to support its long-term partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the United States. These funds go towards recruiting, training, and engaging adult mentors and creating mentorship moments between Bigs and Littles.

With its expansion into Lakeland, Nordstrom Rack is set to become a favorite shopping destination for both locals and visitors. The store's iconic brand will complement the curated mix of retailers, restaurants, and entertainment at Lakeside Village, solidifying its position as a premier open-air lifestyle center in Florida.
