INDIANAPOLIS - Washingtoner -- Kicking off his return to national concert promotion in 2021, veteran Promoter Geno Shelton's 3-City "A Night of Legends" tour featuring Charlie Wilson and the Isley Brothers shook the stages like a 7.5 earthquake.  Still riding that wave, Shelton (better known as DJ Geno) is also enjoying the spotlight "Black Concert Promoters" are finally getting for successful national tours.  For 2022  DJ Geno's Entertainment and Marketing Company Praise God Entertainment (entertainment division of parent company G. Entertainment) introduces the inaugural Juneteenth Music Festival called "What the Funk" (WTF).  DJ Geno says, "We wanted to unapologetically salute the historical Juneteenth weekend with the inaugural Juneteenth Music Festival and Summit.  So, get ready for an entire weekend of honoring ancestral freedom starting Saturday, June 18, an evening filled with spectacular performances by iconic groups.  We've been cooped up long enough, and it's time to party to the beat of era-defining music by super-groups such as Zapp, The Original Lakeside, Average White Band, The Bar-Kays, Klymaxx (featuring Bernadette Cooper), Trouble Funk, Circle City Band, and The Ebony Rhythm Funk Campaign."  Sunday, June 19, will be the inaugural "What the Funk Summit" with the theme "Everything You Need to Know About The Music, The Music Business, and The Music Industry," hosted by Grammy Winner/Soul Music Hall of Famer "Uncle Jamz."  This 1-Day session will thoroughly examine the entertainment industry from a music perspective.  Panelists will have a real-time (fireside-chat) on alternative ways to acquire income within the music industry without being actual artists.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive informational tools that provide a solid return on investment (ROI).
