YAKIMA, Wash. - Washingtoner -- YAKIMA, WA – A landmark reunion for Yakima Medic One and Yakima Ambulance personnel from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s is set for September 20, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the West Valley Fire Station 1 Training Room, 10000 Zier Rd, Yakima, WA 98908, just up the road from the service's historic haunts. This gathering will bring together paramedics, EMTs, staff, physician advisors, nurses, ambulance drivers, and others who were instrumental in shaping the legacy of this award-winning private ambulance service, which transformed pre-hospital medical care in Yakima.
From its early days providing basic first aid ambulance services to adopting cutting-edge advanced life support, Yakima Medic One and Yakima Ambulance evolved dramatically, keeping pace with advancements in emergency medical care. The dedicated professionals of these decades faced intense challenges, from mastering new technologies to responding to life-or-death emergencies with skill and compassion.
