Starting with a tour of the factory where the Boeing 737 is born followed by pitches to the global giants of the aerospace industry, the Primo Innovare Summit brings to the Pacific Northwest the most innovative Italian companies in Aerospace industry

SEATTLE - Washingtoner -- From mixed reality solutions designed to simplify tasks during spacewalks to malleable solid-state supercapacitors for high-performance electric vehicles, and the "space sunflower" enabling orbiting structures to gather more solar energy. Ten Italian startups have been selected to participate at the World Trade Center in Seattle, USA, in the "Primo. Innovare." Summit. This internationalization program, created by Area Science Park and Serena–a private operating foundation based in Bellevue, provides Italian startups an opportunity to connect with some of the most significant players in the American market.
Following its inaugural Seattle edition in November 2022 and subsequent stages in New York and Boston in 2023, a new event is set to take place in Washington State. The aim is to bring together ten emerging Italian innovators in artificial intelligence and aerospace with one of the most dynamic regions for these industries in the United States and globally.

The Program
The day will kick off with a tour of Boeing's Renton factory in the Seattle metropolitan area. This will provide the startups an opportunity to engage with the production hub of the aerospace giant and share their innovative solutions. In the afternoon, the main event will be held at the Seattle World Trade Center. The Summit will be
inaugurated by Davide Corriero, the Deputy Consul General of Italy in San Francisco, followed by presentations from the startups to an audience comprising about a hundred investors and major companies from the region, including members of the Greater Seattle Partners. The aerospace industry boasts over 900 local businesses in the Seattle area alone, including Boeing and Blue Origin, among others. Prominent figures will lead a roundtable discussion at the event, featuring executives from Boeing, Amazon (Project Kuiper), Google (NASA Project), and Umbra Group – an Italian industrial supplier to Boeing that has a presence in Washington state.
Executives from Eviation, the Arlington (WA) based manufacturer of Alice, the first fully electric twin-engine aircraft, will speak together with the top analyst from AIR-Aerospace Intelligence who will also host the industry panel.
Primo Innovare Summit extends beyond the physical event: the startup pitches will be uploaded and remain available on the virtual expo hosted on the website www.primoinnovare.org. This provides an additional platform to cultivate business opportunities, allowing for remote engagement and long-term opportunities for connections over the coming months.

The Organization
The delegation of Italian startups was carefully selected by the Italian National Research Center, Area Science Park, which organized the event together with Serena. "With Primo Innovare, we create a prestigious meeting ground for innovative startups from various Italian regions, giving them a unique platform to showcase themselves to investors, venture capital funds, and leaders of some of the largest American corporations. Once again, innovation serves as a bridge between Italy and the United States, providing common ground to strengthen ties between our countries and build new relationships," stated Fabrizio Rovatti, Leading Technologist at Area Science Park.

"Italy has historically been a pioneer in the aeronautical industry. Primo Innovare now brings to Seattle a delegation of new entrepreneurs with their innovative projects, showcasing the rapid and recent advancements in the aerospace sector. This acceleration is made even more intriguing by the development of artificial intelligence systems, which is not coincidentally the other main theme of this year's summit. Following the great success of the 2022 edition, we continue to focus on the synergy between Italy's productive ingenuity and the Pacific Northwest of the United States, a region that boasts the presence of 900 companies in this sector, employing 99,000 people in King County alone," said Davide Viganò, Co-founder and President of Serena Corp, a non-profit foundation dedicated to building friendship and collaboration between Italy and the Pacific Northwest, highlighting their entrepreneurial culture, and to create value, jobs and innovation opportunities together and for all. The project also received collaboration and support from the Consul General of Italy, Sergio Strozzi in San Francisco and Innovit, the Italian hub for innovation and culture in downtown San Francisco. The new hub serves as a nexus for activities that boost Italian technological, scientific, and innovative endeavors. It incorporates its Innovation Center and the activities of the Italian Institute of Culture, inaugurated in 2022. The Center has significantly augmented Primo Innovare's innovative offerings by showcasing in Seattle the pioneering companies that have embarked on the Call4Innovit-Space Economy acceleration program in San Francisco.
