~ In the early hours of June 10th, Spokane Police responded to a call regarding a person with a weapon in the 300 block of W. North River Drive. According to reports, two security workers from a nearby business had witnessed a group of males causing damage to property on Washington St. between Spokane Falls Blvd. and North River Dr.
Upon approaching the workers, the teens allegedly pulled out a firearm and threatened one of the workers before circling their security truck and continuing to cause chaos. The workers were able to call 911 and escape from the group.
Thanks to information provided by the workers and descriptions of the suspects, patrol officers were able to locate and detain all five males with the assistance of Park Rangers at Riverfront Park. After further investigation, officers determined that there was probable cause to arrest all five individuals.

The aggressive nature of the attack on the workers and their vehicle, along with the brandishing of a gun, led to each suspect being charged with Felony Harassment. It was later discovered that the firearm in question was actually a realistic airsoft pistol.
In addition to these charges, all five suspects were also charged with Criminal Mischief Riot due to their reckless behavior as a group and damage done to property such as porta-pottys, fencing, and traffic/construction cones.
Further charges were added for certain individuals including Felony Harassment Weapon Involved, Minor in Possession/Liquor, and 2nd Degree Malicious Mischief.
Two adults involved in this incident have been identified as Cordell J. Walker (19) and Timothy J. Goodman (18) and have been booked into Spokane County Jail. The remaining three suspects are juveniles who have been booked into Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.
The Spokane Police Department is urging anyone with additional information about this incident or any other criminal activity in the area to come forward and contact them immediately.
