Spokane: District 1 Council Members to Host Townhall

~ Spokane District 1 Council Members Michael Cathcart and Sarah Dixit will host a community town hall on parks and tree canopy on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.

Community tabling and neighborhood council activities are scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. The town hall, including presentations and a question-and-answer session, will run from 6 to 7 p.m.

According to the city, representatives from Spokane Parks and Recreation and The Lands Council will join the council members. The event is intended to provide an opportunity for community conversation on the topics.
